TWO OF THE most iconic creatures in movie history are teaming up for the biggest one-two-punch since Barbenheimer. I am talking, of course, about Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, the latest installment in Legendary Entertainment’s MonsterVerse franchise.

Following 2021’s Godzilla vs. Kong, this movie sees the two iconic monsters working together to protect the planet from an evil Titan known as the Skar King, who initially looks to be an even more vicious version of Kong.

“We wanted to come up with an antagonist that would both be a match for Kong and Godzilla, and that’s really hard to do,” director Adam Wingard told IGN. “There’s a lot more to this character and how he’s a threat, and that’s going to be something that’s going to be fun to kind of dole out.”

Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire stars Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry, Dan Stevens, Kaylee Hottle, Alex Ferns, Rachel House, and Fala Chen.

The movie had its world premiere in Los Angeles on March 25 and was released in the United States on March 29. At present, the only way to see Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire is in theaters.

When will Godzilla x Kong hit streaming?

There is no official release date for streaming platforms right now, although we do know that as a Warner Bros. production, Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire will make its streaming debut on Max first. If this movie follows a similar release pattern to other Warner Bros. films, then you can expect to see Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire arrive on Max between60 and 90 days after the end of its theatrical run.

Not a Max subscriber? The film will also be available to buy or rent at home via services like Amazon Prime Video and YouTube TV.
