The NBTC in Thailand has now certified the 2311DRK48G, a global version of the 2311DRK48I that arrived at the BIS in India at the start of the month. The NBTC have also linked 2311DRK48G with the POCO X6 Pro 5G, which shares its model number with the Redmi K70E that Xiaomi launched in China yesterday.

Various sources have now discovered a new reference to the 2311DRK48G, a forthcoming handset that Xiaomi intends to sell globally. According to Thailand’s National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC), 2311DRK48G relates to the POCO X6 Pro 5G, a model that will line up as a more expensive alternative to the POCO X6 5G. Based on recent rumours, the latter could be a re-branded Redmi Note 13 Pro that Xiaomi has been selling in China since late September.

As usual, the NBTC does not reveal many other details about the POCO X6 Pro 5G, which was also the case earlier this week with the Galaxy S24 Ultra. Nonetheless, the POCO X6 Pro 5G shares the root of its model number, ‘2311DRK48’, with the 2311DRK48C, a device that Xiaomi released yesterday in its home market as the Redmi K70E. Thus, the 2311DRK48I that the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) recently certified is another Redmi K70E re-brand, although it remains to be seen whether this will launch in India as the POCO X6 Pro 5G too.

At any rate, this means that the global POCO X6 Pro 5G will ship with a MediaTek Dimensity 8300 Ultra chipset and at least 12 GB of RAM like the Redmi K70E. Additionally, the POCO X6 Pro 5G will feature a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 2,712 x 1,212 native resolution, a 120 Hz refresh rate and 1,800 nits peak brightness.
