According to the week’s best dressed celebrities, summer style is off to a strong start—be it thanks to floral dresses or flowy bohemian gowns. (Boho chic is back, haven’t you heard?). A-listers dialed up the whimsy on the red carpets this week, the fashion takeaway being: Don’t take summer dressing too seriously—it’s all about having fun.
At the Marc Jacobs fall 2024 show in New York, for one, Cardi B leaned into drama by wearing the designer’s ruffled and floral-covered mini dress. Paired with bright yellow tights and staggering platforms, it was OTT dressing at its finest. Another star who embraced statement dressing this week was Ice Spice at the BET Awards: The rapper revived a spring 2004 Versace gown in bright orange, and it couldn’t have felt more current.
Other celebrities made more subtle fashion choices this week, though they were just as whimsical and fabulous. At a Twisters event in Miami, Daisy Edgar-Jones, chose a simple Schiaparelli shift dress adorned with bejeweled gold nipple covers. At the Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda show in Sardinia, supermodel Naomi Campbell looked ethereal in a flowing caped gown by the label. (A dress so good she could have walked the runway in it.)
