Three Years Later, Quake Is Officially Getting A Physical Release For Xbox

Back in 2021 when we were first treated to the awesome remaster of Quake on Xbox, there was a bit of controversy over the fact that Limited Run Games was producing physical editions for everything except Microsoft’s consoles.

Flash forward three years later, and we’re finally getting them! Limited Run has opened pre-orders today for both the standard $29.99 physical version of Quake for Xbox, along with a limited Quake Quad Damage Edition for $99.99.

Three Years Later, Quake Is Officially Getting A Physical Release For Xbox 2

If you’re interested in either of these you’ve got until September 22nd to pre-order, and the estimated ship date is in January of next year for the standard release, and February for the Quake Quad Damage Edition.

As for Quake 2, Limited Run did actually make that game available physically at launch last year for Xbox consoles, and these days those versions are sold out. If you’re desperate for Q2, you might need to look around on eBay!
