It's first city, Susa was built around 3200 BCE, the  Iranian empire started in the Iron age, the Achaemenid Empire was founded by Cyrus the Great, and it was the largest empire in the world at the time. This was during the time where upper and lower Egypt were joint by the first king of the First Dynasty, King Narmer. This country has the earliest known human presence in the Armenian Highlands in the Lower Paleolithic period. 5 | North Korea - 2333 BCE | Korean Legend says that it's first ancient Kingdom was established in 2333 BCE by the semi-divine figure Tangun. This date is now celebrates as National Foundation Day also known as Gaecheonjeol in South Korea. North Korea does recognise this day but instead of a public holiday, a ceremony is held every year as the Mausoleum of Tangun.
