Blake Lively Wore the Red Carpet Label of the Moment to the LACMA Gala

Date:

Over the last year, red carpets have suddenly been dominated by one particular label: Tamara Ralph. Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Lopez, Florence Pugh, and Halle Berry are just a few of the stars who have recently slipped into the designer’s evening gowns. So it seemed only natural that Blake Lively would take one of Ralph’s dramatic creations to the LACMA gala in Los Angeles last night; Ralph has made big, splashy Hollywood events her specialty, after all.

Lively wore a look from Tamara Ralph’s fall 2023 couture collection, comprising a tangerine-colored silk-taffeta cape layered over a chainmail mini dress encrusted with rose gold, pink, and topaz crystals. It’s not the first time Lively has called upon the designer to create a head-turning ensemble, either: While doing press for her film It Ends With Us earlier this year, Lively wore Ralph’s crystal mesh intarsia gown with floral appliqués (and, of course, a feathered cape).

Given the star loves colorful designs and voluminous silhouettes—see her many winning red carpet moments over the years right here—she and Ralph make perfect sense as collaborators. Plus, in its autumnal shades of orange and pink, Lively’s look matched the mood of the season. What’s not to love about that?
