Redmi Watch 4: Xiaomi presents new HyperOS smartwatch with metal housing, GPS and large AMOLED display

Date:

Furthermore, the 47 mm smartwatch integrates a quick-release watch band system, much like the Apple Watch or Pixel Watch series. Unfortunately, this means that the Redmi Watch 4 is officially incompatible with conventional smartwatch straps. Elsewhere, Xiaomi has included a 470 mAh battery that it rates for up to 20 days of usage between charges, although not with the smartwatch’s GNSS services activated.

Xiaomi has equipped the Redmi Watch 4 with Bluetooth 5.3 and NFC capabilities too, as well as over 150 sports modes and sensors to track key health metrics. Like the Watch S3, Xiaomi has pre-installed HyperOS, its in-house OS that can also be found in the Redmi K70 and Xiaomi 14 series. The Redmi Watch 4 retails for CNY 499 (~US$70) in China, undercutting the Watch S3 by CNY 300 (~US$42).
