What Happened During Ari Lennox’s Performance

Lennox is currently an act on singer Rod Wave’s nationwide ‘Nostalgia’ tour. Additionally, Lennox is accompanied by fellow artists Toosi, G Herbo, and Eelmatic.

According to Rod Wave’s official website, the tour made its most recent stop in Los Angeles, California, Wednesday evening at The Kia Forum. There, Lennox took the stage and began performing her 2022 hit single, “Pressure.”

However, a few seconds after Lennox began singing her introductory verse, a water bottle flew past her frame, fan footage shows.

Lennox promptly stopped her performance, questioning as to who threw the item.

“B***h, don’t f*****g play with me, stop that shit,” Lennox said walking toward the area where the bottle was thrown from. “I’ll f**k you up from here. Who the f**k did it? Who the f**k did it? I’ll f**k your ass up cause I don’t play that. I’m a real ass b***h, and I will f**k your s**t all the way the f**k up. Don’t you ever disrespect a beautiful Black woman on the stage like that. I will f*****g f**k you up. Yes, the f**k right, we get it b***h.”

In footage shared by The Shade Room, Lennox can be heard asking the fan to “come here.”

According to Complex, Lennox’s set was ultimately cut short following the incident.

Social Media Reacts

Social media users entered The Shade Room’s comment section to share their reactions to the viral moment. Many agreed with Lennox’s defense of herself, while others questioned why someone would pay to attend a concert only to be disruptive to performers.

Instagram user @nailsbyshuna wrote.

“I livesss when sweet soft spoken ppl curse somebody tf out, cause why they playing with her?? 😂😂😂😂”

While Instagram user @sookie345 added.

“Can someone please explain why someone pays to see an artist then will throw an object at them on stage possibly injuring them?!”

Instagram user @thebadpapi remarked.

“I love that she embarrassed tf out whoever that was …. checkmate”

While Instagram user @prettyred_india posed a question.

“y’all pay money .. show up & do this ?”

Instagram user @eeveesparadise remarked.

“One day when concerts don’t let anyone close up to the stage and it’s not fun anymore ppl gonna wonder why”

According to Scripps News, entertainers such as Drake, Harry Styles, and Pink are just some of the celebs to have items hurled at them during recent performances.

The Singer Recently Shared Her Sobriety Journey

As The Shade Room previously reported, Lennox shared a milestone moment with her fans earlier this year. In July, the 32-year-old revealed that she was seven months sober.

At the time, Lennox explained that she couldn’t “imagine going back to how things were” and now feels “more in control” of her emotions.

The singer shared that she doesn’t find “interest in partying anymore” and also believed that she’s “changing and that’s deeper than alcohol.”

“I like waking up with no hangover or embarrassment. I like waking up with no night terrors and panic attacks from liquor. I’m so raw feeling everything in this world and my coping mechanisms are only healthier now. It’s nice to remember events as they are happening. It’s nice to be present.”
