Queens, New York Nightmare: Quadruple Murder Including Two Children in Brutal Stabbing Incident

Date:

In Queens, New York, a stabbing incident resulted in the death of four individuals, two of whom were children, and injured three others.

In the wee hours of Sunday, law enforcement responded to an incident in the Far Rockaway community where they discovered victims in a residence engulfed in flames.

A man under suspicion attacked and injured two law enforcement officers with a knife, after which he was shot by one of the officers

The individual under suspicion was transported to the hospital, however, was pronounced deceased upon arrival.

During a media conference at Jamaica Hospital, authorities verified that they got a 911 emergency call at 05:10 local time (10:10 GMT). The call was from a young girl who claimed that her cousin was murdering her relatives.

A pair of policemen were dispatched to the location on Beach 22nd Street, where they spotted a man exiting with suitcases.

As the police attempted to communicate with the man, he drew a knife, striking one officer in the neck and chest region, and injuring another officer in the head.

An officer managed to draw his gun and fire at the person under suspicion.

As additional police personnel arrived at the location, they discovered a girl of 11 years old at the house's entrance. She was rushed to the hospital, but unfortunately, she succumbed to her injuries later.

Once the New York Fire Department got to the location, rescue teams discovered the remains of three individuals within the home: a boy of 12 years, a woman of 44 years, and a man in his thirties.

A woman of 61 years was rushed to Mount Sinai Hospital, suffering from several stabbing injuries.

Authorities suspect that all casualties succumbed to injuries from stab wounds, and a kitchen steak knife was found at the location.

The New York police identified the suspect as Courtney Gordon, aged 39, who previously was arrested once for domestic abuse in the Bronx.

At the time the attack occurred, he was in Queens visiting his relatives.

Authorities indicated that the probe was still underway, however, the individual who dialed 911 was currently being questioned at the police headquarters.
