Huawei has confirmed plans to offer the MateBook D 16 2024 in Europe. Designed to compete within the popular 16-inch laptop space, the MateBook D 16 2024 combines up to an Intel Core i9-13900H processor with a 1200p display and a 70 Wh battery but starts at €999 with lower specifications.

Huawei has now brought the MateBook D 16 2024 to Europe, less than a month after presenting it in China. For reference, the 16-inch laptop was joined by a PaperMatte Edition of the MatePad Air, the release of which we have covered separately. Also, while Huawei dubs the new MateBook D 16 a ‘2024’ edition, it relies on distinctly 2023 processors.

In this case, Huawei offers the new laptop with up to the Core i9-13900H, just like its Chinese counterpart. However, the company also lists the Core i7-13700H, plus three Core i5 options down to the Core i5-12450H. Either way, the MateBook D 16 2024 is soon to be facing newer competition thanks to Intel’s upcoming Raptor Lake Refresh and Meteor Lake launches.

Nonetheless, the MateBook D 16 2024 should still prove to be a powerful laptop with its Core i7-13700H and Core i9-13900H guises. Unfortunately, the laptop lacks a dedicated GPU though, meaning that it must make do with Intel’s older Iris Xe iGPU solutions. All other specifications remain unchanged from last month’s Chinese release too, including a 1200p display that delivers 300 nits peak brightness and a 56 Wh or 70 Wh battery, depending on the SKU chosen.

The MateBook D 16 2024 starts at €999 in the Eurozone with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage or €1,399 in its top configuration, which adds a 1 TB SSD. For some reason, the laptop will not be orderable until January 8, with initial shipments set for January 22. Please see Huawei’s website for more details.
