Pace of Japan’s consumer inflation slowed in November

TOKYO — Japan’s overall consumer prices rose 2.8% from a year earlier in November, government data showed Friday.

That was slower than the 3.3% increase in October but still above the Bank of Japan’s 2% target.

Consumer inflation excluding volatile fresh food and energy increased 3.8% from a year earlier, compared with 4% growth in October.
