What are the best weapon mods for Assault Rifles in Fortnite?
You can experiment with your weapons using the Mod Bench.
The weapon mod bench in Chapter 5 Season 1 allows you to customize your weapon based on your preferences.
In the case of Assault Rifles, although they deal a ton of damage, their recoil is their main drawback. So, the best option here is to reduce that by using the Muzzle Brake and Drum Mag attachments to give you more comfort when you’re scoped and hip-firing.

Currently, there are three Assault Rifles available in Chapter 5 Season 1, which are the Striker AR, Nemesis AR, and Enforcer AR. We’ve compiled some of the best mods to use on them below.
Best Weapon Mods for Striker AR
- Optic: Holo-13 Optic with 1.3x scoped view
- Barrel: Muzzle Brake (Reduce recoil)
- Magazine: Drum Mag (Increase ammo capacity)
- Underbarrel: Laser (Increase Hipfire Accuracy)
With the Striker AR, you’ll want to avoid using the 2x and 4x scope and go with the 1.3x just so it won’t have a sniper glare. The Muzzle Brake is a must since it reduces the somewhat uncontrollable spray when you’re firing your weapon, and the same goes with the Laser since you’ll be using this weapon in generally mid-range fights.
Additionally, since this weapon already has a fast reload speed, you can just go with the Drum Mag instead to increase the ammo capacity.

Best Weapon Mods for Nemesis AR
- Optic: P2X Optic with 2x scoped view
- Barrel: Muzzle Brake (Reduce recoil)
- Magazine: Drum Mag (Increase ammo capacity)
- Underbarrel: Vertical Foregrip (Improves ADS Recoil and Spread)
The Nemesis AR has a better accuracy compared to the Striker AR, but it does have a significantly slower fire rate. With that in mind, we recommend using this weapon as a semi-sniper alternative, making the 2x scope a perfect choice.
Muzzle Brake and Drum Mag will give you more comfort when firing your shots, while the Vertical Foregrip perfectly complements this weapon’s overall playstyle. With reduced ADS recoil and spread, you get to have an easier time popping your enemy’s head from a safe distance.

Best Weapon Mods for Enforcer AR
- Optic: P2X Optic with 2x scoped view
- Barrel: Muzzle Brake (Reduce recoil)
- Magazine: Drum Mag (Increase ammo capacity)
- Underbarrel: Angled Foregrip (Increases ADS speed)
Out of all the Assault Rifles in the current chapter, the Enforcer AR has the fastest reload, making it a beast when paired with the Angled Foregrip and Drum Mag which increases ADS speed and ammo capacity. Also, in a way, this weapon is similar to Nemesis AR as it can be used as a sniper alternative.
You can go with the 2x scope to help quick scope your enemies. Meanwhile, the Muzzle Brake attachment will make your shots feel sharper due to reduced recoil.
That sums up the best weapon mods for Assault Rifles in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1. With these builds, you should have an easier time landing your shots. That said, feel free to experiment with other attachments, too, if you feel like that would suit your playstyle more.
