As a battle royale, Fortnite has garnered quite an amount of fans over the years. It’s been a while since Fortnite has come out, but its fanbase hasn’t dwindled at all. With the addition of new collaborations and game modes, Epic Games has managed to take its battle royale to the stature of an iconic game.

There are a lot of factors that have contributed to its popularity over the years. That said, here’s everything you need to know about the Fortnite release date.

Epic Games released Fortnite on September 26, 2017. The game has been in the market for a little over years now. Over these six years, the game has seen a lot of changes, both in terms of the gameplay mechanics and in terms of content.

The most interesting section about the game so far has been the island. It’s seen so many transitions over multiple chapters and seasons. Most importantly, it’s believed that the island is tied to the lore of the game in a very intricate manner.

That aside, one of the prime reasons behind Fortnite’s popularity is the number of collaborations it participates in, regularly. Ever since the Fortnite release date, the game has participated in several collaborations, ranging from popular anime characters to real-world artists like Travis Scott, Marshmallow, Ariana Grande, and Eminem.

Following the release of game modes like LEGO Fortnite and Rocket Racing, it’s safe to say that the game has slowly evolved into a platform rather than just a game at this point. If you’re yet to explore these two new games, then Fortnite Rocket Racing is an arcade racer, LEGO Fortnite is a survival sandbox game like Minecraft, and Fortnite Festival is very similar to Guitar Hero.

All Fortnite modes and when did they come out

Ever since the Fortnite release date, the game has grown considerably. However, it wasn’t so vast at launch. When Fortnite first came out, there were three basic modes that it had. They are as follows:

The other one was Save the World which is actually a campaign mode. But unfortunately, this mode was locked behind a paywall, and that hasn’t changed even after so many years of release.

There was a slump in popularity a few seasons after Fortnite came out, and that was because of the building mode. To counteract that, the developers released a no-build mode, where you cannot build any structures. It’s a simple battle royale, where you need to survive without building anything.

It was only in Chapter 5 Season 1 that LEGO Fortnite, Rocket Racing, and Fortnite Festival were released. These, however, were branded as individual games rather than specific modes. It will be interesting to see what other modes the developers come up with, in the near future.

That concludes everything that you need to know about the Fortnite release date. For more information on the game, check out the following links:
