The 81st Golden Globes have finally arrived and they celebrated the best in the world of movies and television from 2023. There were a ton of winners across 27 categoriers, but no film or show took home more awards than Oppenheimer.
Oppenheimer claimed victory in not only Best Motion Picture – Drama, but also Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama (Cillian Murphy), Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role in any Motion Picture (Robert Downey Jr.), Best Director – Motion Picture (Christopher Nolan), and Best Original Score – Motion Picture (Ludwig Göransson).
Succession fell just behind Oppenheimer with four wins, as the HBO series that just had its final season won Best Television Series – Drama, Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Series – Drama (Sarah Snook), Best Perforamcne by a Male Actor in a Television Series – Drama (Kieran Culkin), and Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role on Television (Matthew Macfadyen).
The Bear and BEEF both took home three awards, and Poor Things, The Holdovers, Anatomy of a Fall, and Barbie walked away with two wins each.
