Decathlon has launched its BTWIN LD 920 E city bike in the UK and is expected to sell the model in the US in the near future. The e-bike has a 250 OWURU motor accompanied by a battery providing up to 150 km (~93 miles) range on a single charge. Other features include GPS tracking, a suspension fork and a color display with an integrated USB-C port.
The Decathlon BTWIN LD 920 E urban e-bike is rolling out to more countries. The model was launched in the EU in September and is now available in the UK. Plus, the e-bike has appeared in a 2024 catalogue featuring various cycling products for the brand in the US, suggesting it will soon launch there.
The LD 920 E, or the E-LD 920, is powered by a 250W mid-drive motor from OWURU, with 600W peak power and up to 65 Nm torque. You can choose between three assistance levels or switch off the engine, with the 702Wh Economy battery providing up to 150 km (~93 miles) range in Economy mode. The power pack fully recharges in under five hours and is expected to retain full capacity for at least 500 cycles. A Headshock suspension fork with 30 mm travel makes your ride more comfortable, and Tektro Hydraulic disc brakes ensure short stopping distances. An integrated color display shows information like your chosen mode and remaining battery range and has a built-in USB-C port to charge your phone. Plus, 4G, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth connectivity let you track the GPS location of your bike; it is worth noting that this tool is free for the first year, then charged at €2 (~£1.7) per month.
Other features include integrated lighting, mudguards, a kickstand, a pannier rack and a Ring Lock 920 ART2. The e-bike has a 6061 aluminum high or low frame, each available in four sizes, with the medium model weighing 59.5 lbs (~27.0 kg). You can buy the BTWIN LD 920 E High Frame and Low Frame Electric City Bikes in the UK for £3,199. It remains unclear when the model will launch in the US and how much it will cost.
