YASHICA has launched a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign for its Vision camera binoculars. The product has a 58 MP night vision camera with an f/1.0 aperture to help you capture footage in darkness. Other features include an infrared illuminator, digital zoom and a microSD card slot.

The YASHICA Vision camera binoculars are now crowdfunding on Kickstarter. At the time of writing, the campaign already has over 4,000 backers, raising almost $670,000, far higher than the project’s $20,429 funding goal. YASHICA is a historic Japanese camera brand that ceased trading in 2005, with trademark rights subsequently sold to the Hong Kong-based MF Jebsen Group.

The Vision are binoculars delivering full-color or IR night vision, capturing native 1080p video, upscaled to 4K, in low lighting. The device has a 3-level 850nm IR LED illuminator and 5X digital zoom for a viewing distance of up to 1,970 ft (~600 m) when it is dark. The product has 0.037 lux sensitivity, with a 58 MP GalaxyCore 1/2.9 CMOS sensor and a 25 mm f/1.0 wide aperture to optimize light intake, thus increasing the image’s resolution. AI technology enhances Image Signal Processing (ISP) for realistic colors, and at the rear of the gadget is a 4-inch TFT display with a 960 x 400 px resolution. Plus, the product has up to 16 hours of operating time thanks to a rechargeable 5,000 mAh lithium battery; the company offers a free battery replacement service for the first five years.

You can make a super early bird pledge of HK$1,087 (~$139) to receive the YASHICA Vision binoculars, a 45% discount on the HK$1,971 (~$252) retail price. The company is shipping worldwide with an estimated delivery date of May 2024. You can also purchase various bundles and kits, including a tripod and microSD card. As with any crowdfunding campaign, there is no guarantee that the project will be completed, so you may not receive the product.
