Lil Meech’s 20 Best ‘BMF’ Wardrobe Looks That Encapsulate Street Fashion

Date:

Portraying the iconic leader of an infamous drug empire is a tall task for any thespian, but in the case of Demetrius “Lil Meech” Flenory Jr., he was literally bred for the role. The son of Black Mafia cofounder Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory and nephew of Terry “Southwest T” Flenory, Lil Meech is the epitome of street royalty, having witnessed the impact and influence his father and uncle had on their hometown, Hip-Hop culture, and society at large.

Born in 2000, Lil Meech’s genesis can be traced to Miami, but his roots extend to the midwestern metropolis of Detroit, where the Flenory’s once ruled as kings while playing their bustling cocaine trade. The Motor City served as the backdrop of the first season of the Hit Starz show BMF, which depicts the riveting rise, reign, and fall of the Flenory organization.

Cast as his father in the leading role, Lil Meech’s turn as an actor was spurred by none other than rapper 50 Cent, who personally tapped the youngster to walk into his pops’ footsteps. Thus far, Lil Meech hasn’t missed a step, as he has effortlessly channeled the charismatic, entrepreneurial spirit of Big Meech throughout the first two seasons of BMF.

Displaying a poise and presence beyond his years and experience, the 23-year-old has tempered allusions to nepotism securing himself the role, as his performance has stood up against that of his more seasoned costars. And with BMF‘s third season now underway, viewers will get a glimpse of the elder Flenory’s origin story in Atlanta, the city he would ultimately make the epicenter of his organization and his personal playground.

One aspect of BMF that has made the series a favorite is its incorporation of the realism that defined Detroit and Atlanta during the ’80s and ’90s, particularly the fashion. Each character’s wardrobe has been a reflection of the times the backstory took place in.

Check out VIBE’s 20 highlights of Lil Meech’s most memorable looks from his BMF wardrobe that scream Detroit player.
