Date:

We’re coming up on six years since the release of the legendary survival city builder Frostpunk. Thankfully, developer 11 Bit Studios has been hard at work creating its sequel, Frostpunk 2. And in just over a week, players will get the chance to experience the Frostpunk 2 beta. We’ve put together everything you need to know about the Frostpunk 2 beta including how to sign up, its start and end dates, and more.

How to get into the Frostpunk 2 beta

The only way to get access to the April Frostpunk 2 beta is to pre-order the Deluxe Edition of Frostpunk 2. When is the Frostpunk 2 beta?

According to 11 bit, Frostpunk 2 will begin its beta access period on April 15 at 1 pm EST and it will run through April 22 at 1 pm EST. This will allow players to play around with Frostpunk 2 for one week before its release three months later on July 25, 2024.

What will be in the beta?

Even though Frostpunk fans are surely excited to jump into this beta, it’s important to keep expectations in check. The specific titling of this beta is the Utopia Builder Preview, which focuses on the Utopia sandbox mode. Also, only a part of the mode is available during the preview. To play the full sandbox mode or the city builder’s highly anticipated story mode, you will have to wait until release. Also, only English and Simplified Chinese languages will be available in the beta, but more languages will be available for the full-time release.
