This week’s red carpets were certainly not ideal for wallflowers. The best dressed stars of the week—including Zendaya, Rihanna, and Dakota Fanning—were those went for bold finishes instead. Graphic prints, sprightly colors, and voluminous silhouettes all trended on the step and repeat—proving that Hollywood A-listers are very much ready to embrace statement dressing as we head into spring.
Take Tracee Ellis Ross at the New Museum’s 2024 spring gala: Her floral-print Marni gown came complete with a dramatic A-line train, taking up space in the most fabulous way. At a Challengers photo call in Paris, Zendaya looked to a checkered Louis Vuitton coat from the spring 2013 collection; The throwback piece still felt current and modern today. Actor Da’Vine Joy Randolph looked to stripes instead: She attended the Ripley premiere in L.A. in Christopher John Roger’s colorful paneled frock.
There were a few more discreet looks that shined this week, too. At the Ripley premiere in L.A., Dakota Fanning looked ethereal in her white one-shouldered Fendi Couture gown. In Hollywood, Rihanna also stepped out for dinner in an all-black ensemble—though, her subtle outfit included tons of vintage gems, like a Vivienne Westwood coat from the 1990s. What an archival score!
