As usual, Domingo Rodríguez Lázar was inspired by Y2K nostalgia and the world of sports for the fall Dominnico collection. He was looking at après-ski style, reinventing ski suits into mini dresses, and experimenting with other pieces designed for the snow such as hats, vests, and cropped fur jackets, all in a palette of pinks and lilacs, grounded with neutral shades of gray, black, or beige.
“The special thing about this collection is the interpretation and mixtures of materials such as wool, upholstery, and fur, all in the same piece,” said the Spanish designer. “Also, the mix of colors and the tie-dye technique are particularly impressive.” As the main materials, upcycled denim and recycled furs were worked meticulously. “Our key challenge was to represent a generation and have the opportunity to give life to materials that have already completed their cycle,” he added.
