The NYPD said an officer accidentally discharged his firearm Tuesday while trying to access a barricaded part of Columbia University’s Hamilton Hall. A single round struck a wall, they said, and only police were present.
In a pre-dawn raid Thursday, Los Angeles police officers leveled tents at a pro-Palestinian protest at UCLA after pushing through barricades, deploying stun grenades and taking over most of the encampment. Dozens were arrested at Stony Brook University, Fordham University, Yale University, the University of Wisconsin at Madison and the University of Texas at Dallas.
