Date:

Over the years, the Hong Kong Book Fair has grown to become one of the most highly attended book publishing events in Asia. That has led it to become a proverbial entry point for authors who want to share their work with more readers in the region. Its just the sort of big opportunity for independent Christian authors like Coby McGee. With his book, Treasures of Darkness, he aims to spread a message about finding God and finding hope in the dark periods of ones life.

“Ive learned a lot of things the hard way, and I learned the greatest lessons during the darkest times of my life.”

The Hong Kong Book Fair is not only the citys highly attended book publishing event. Its also a great way for new authors to introduce their work to readers all across mainland Asia.

Coby McGee may just be one of the hundreds of these authors, but that doesnt make his book any less impactful and motivational for those who come across it. Titled Treasures of Darkness, the book shares both his life story as well as what it taught him about finding God and walking with Jesus despite the darkness that one encounters in life.

McGee describes himself as a businessman from Texas but has dedicated the better part of 50 years to living out his Christian faith, with the book serving as his testimony as well as the main tool for evangelization. In Treasures of Darkness, he describes his childhood in a very troubled home, which led to the shadow of fear and shame hanging over his soul.

Despite that, he also describes just how Gods light shined the brightest in his darkest moments and how He does the same to anyone who will but humbly call on His name.

Treasures of Darkness can certainly be a great resource for other like-minded evangelists at this years Hong Kong Book Fair. They can find it on display at the self-publishing and book marketing company ReadersMagnets exhibit. The book event will run between July 17 and 23, 2024, at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, 1 Harbour Road, Wan Chai, Hong Kong. The book is available on Amazon and Barnes and Noble.
