Week 1 of the 2024 NFL season kicks off Sept. 5 with an AFC Championship Game rematch between the Baltimore Ravens and the defending champion Kansas City Chiefs.

Some of the high travel totals are due to the five international games featuring nine teams during the first 10 games of the 2024 season.

The Packers and Eagles kick off Week 1 in São Paulo, Brazil.

Three games will take place in London between Weeks 5 and 7 as the Jets, Vikings, Bears and Patriots head overseas to the United Kingdom. The Jaguars are set to play a pair of games in London.

The Giants and Panthers are then headed to Munich, Germany for Week 10.

The Chargers will rack up their league-high miles total without leaving the United States thanks to frequent coast-to-coast travel.

Another West Coast team is destined for heavy travel as the Seahawks face one of the league’s largest overall travel distances for the third straight season.

In 2023 Seattle led all NFL teams with more than 31,000 miles traveled, per Speros.

Meanwhile, the Commanders face an East Coast-heavy schedule and will record the fewest travel miles in the league this winter.

That’s in part thanks to an away game against the Baltimore Ravens, which marks the shortest possible road trip in the NFL, per Speros.

More than 40 percent of Washington’s travel miles will be recorded during the team’s round trip to Glendale to take on the Arizona Cardinals, Speros noted.

For the second straight season, the Bengals benefit from their relatively central position on the map of NFL teams and lack of international showings with one of the lightest travel schedules in the league.

The full 2024 NFL schedules are set to be released Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET.
