Some new deals just cropped up as part of the Dell 4th of July Sale. Right now you can get an Alienware Aurora R16 GeForce RTX 4090 gaming PC for as low as $2949.99. That particular model is equipped with a 14th gen Intel Core i7 processor, which is no slouch when it comes to gaming. Alternatively, step up to the Intel Core i9 model for $3199.99 and also get double the RAM and double the SSD storage while you’re at it. Even better, you can add on a 34″ Alienware OLED gaming monitor for just $499.

The $2950 model features an Intel Core i7-14700F CPU, GeForce RTX 4090 GPU, 32GB of DDR5-5600MHz RAM, and a 1TB NVMe SSD. The 14th gen Intel Core i7-14700F Raptor Lake Refresh CPU boasts a max clock of 5.4GHz with 20 cores, 28 threads, and a 33MB cache. It’s cooled by a 240mm all-in-one liquid cooling system and powered by an energy efficient 1000W 80PLUS Platinum power supply.

The $3199 model has some substantial upgrades, like an Intel Core i9-14900KF CPU, 64GB of RAM, and a 2TB SSD. The i9-14900KF CPU boasts a max clock of 6GHz with 24 cores, 32 threads, and a 36MB cache. Gaming-wise the Intel Core i7 and i9 perform similarly. However, if you plan to use your rig for rendering or AI work that can utilize the greater number of cores, then the i9 would be a better fit, especially since it also includes more RAM and SSD, which you would also need.

Speaking of the chassis, the R16 is the newest Alienware Aurora gaming chassis, and it’s the biggest departure from Alienware’s iconic design in years. The R16 is 40% smaller in volume compared to previous iterations but has better thermal management. It features a simple yet proven airflow design; air is drawn in through the side intake vents over the GPU area as well as a 120mm rear fan drawing air in and a 240mm all-in-one liquid cooler exhausts air out through the top. A side benefit is that the GPU is supplied with fresh air from the outside instead of recirculating hot internal air.

The RTX 4090 is the most powerful GPU on the market. No other video card, either from NVIDIA or from AMD, comes close. As a reference, the RTX 4090 is about 110% faster at 4K gaming than the already impressive RTX 3080. It’s about 60% faster than the previous king, the RTX 3090 Ti. If you’re still not convinced, check out our RTX 4090 FE review. The 4090 is also the consumer card of choice for stuff like machine learning or AI image generation apps like Stable Diffusion.

Add on a 34″ Alienware OLED Gaming Monitor for $499

You can also add a 34″ Alienware AW3423DWF OLED gaming monitor for only $499. You’ll see it when you add your system to your cart and reach the Accessories page. There will be an option to add it at the discounted price. We reviewed this monitor and strongly recommend it. The AW3423DWF is a 34″ 3440×1440 monitor with a near instantaneous 0.03ms response time and a respectable 165Hz refresh rate. It uses a Samsung quantum dot OLED panel which is brighter than a traditional OLED panel without losing the color accuracy and range and wide viewing angles that OLEDs are known for. This particular monitor boasts a 99.3% DCI-P3 color range and is factory calibrated with a Delta E less than 2. It is HDR True Black 400 certified and can output up to 1,000nits of peak brightness.
