Tyla is bringing Y2K popstar energy into 2024. The singer may have been at the Prelude to the 2024 Olympic Games at the Fondation Louis Vuitton in Paris tonight, but she may as well be attending the MTV VMAs in 1999.

In spite of the summer heat, Tyla wore a black velvet tracksuit printed with the Louis Vuitton damier. She wore an unzipped jacket, allowing her to bare her abs—and a tasteful hint of underboob, thanks to a black bra layered with gold chains. Matching her jacket, she also added a pair of baggy, low-slung velvet pants which tapered at the ankle. Then, she added some glamour to the sporty look, courtesy of a pair of black pumps with a gold pointy toe.
Tyla played to the medal-worthy dress code with her accessories. In addition to the gold loop detailing on her bra, she added a gold chain belt around her hips. She also wore a choker made of large gold hoops with a large damier pendant.
Between her midriff-baring look, heaps of jewelry—including an of-the-era belly button piercing—and her voluminous blonde hair and lip liner, Tyla is a vision of the popstars of yore. May the Y2K resurgence continue apace.
