One would imagine that spring collections would be a challenge for Stand Studio, the Stockholm-based brand known mainly for its faux furs and leathers, but to Nellie Kamras’s credit, the line-up had lightness to it. More lightness, in fact than focus; lots of trend boxes were checked here. There was Western-style fringe on a black suede jacket, and on car wash-style midi skirts. Workwear was there too, in a delicious cherry red pair of suede overalls and a smart leather barn jacket and pants set. Shorts came in length short to knee-length, and skirts were mini. Statement-making were coats with broad shoulders and cinched waists.
The inclusion of wovens and incredibly fine jerseys is new and welcome. Also of note is Kamras’s clever and chic take on jeans dressing; she used light blue leather as a stand-in for denim.
