Yikes! ‘1000-Lb. Sisters’ Star Amy Slaton Arrested At Tennessee Zoo For THESE Reasons (Mugshot)

Date:

A Tennessee outing ended with Amy Slaton behind bars on Monday (Sept. 2). The Crockett County Sheriff’s Department announced her Labor Day arrest on Facebook. Slaton and a man named Brian Scott Lovvorn were visiting the Safari Park in the Alamo when a camel bite ended with them handcuffed.

Now, Amy and Brian face multiple charges involving possession and child endangerment, per the county’s post.

Here’s Why Tennessee Cops Arrested Amy Slaton

At one point during Amy and Brian’s visit, the sheriff’s office received a call about a camel biting a guest. The Facebook post and additional reports have not identified who was bitten. However, when deputies pulled up to the scene, they noted Amy and Brian inside a vehicle with “suspicious odors.”

After further investigation, Slaton and Lovvorn were detained for illegal possession of Schedule I and VI drugs. According to the local law firm May-McKinney, Schedule 1 drugs are typically psychedelic, from psilocybin mushrooms to heroin, peyote, and LSD. Meanwhile, the only drugs categorized as Schedule VI in the state are marijuana, THC, and related equivalents.

As mentioned, they both also got bagged on two counts of child endangerment, but the names and ages of the minors impacted are unclear. It’s also unknown if the minors in question were in the vehicle at the time of the arrest.

For context, Amy Slaton’s arrest comes more than a year since her ex, Michael Halterman, filed for divorce in March 2023 after six years of marriage. The former couple share two children, three-year-old Gage Dion and two-year-old Glenn Allen. Amy and Michael reportedly finalized their split on September 6, 2023, per The U.S. Sun.

Police later booked Amy and Brian into Crockett County Jail. However, their connection, including whether it’s romantic, remains unclear.

What’s Up With The Other Slaton Sister?

Amy Slaton’s sister, Tammy, hasn’t yet spoken out about her arrest on social media. It’s been a little more than a year since her husband, Caleb Willingham, passed away in June 2023. He was 40 years old. His cause of death was kept private at the time of passing, but in February 2024, an autopsy report cited natural causes from “complications of super morbid obesity,” per InTouch Weekly.
