Kevin Jonas Toasts Wife Danielle Jonas on Her 38th Birthday: ‘Love You’

Kevin Jonas and Danielle Jonas have a romance that’s as dreamy as a love song.

Before the Jonas Brothers made it big, Kevin and Danielle met while both their families were vacationing in the Caribbean. At the time, Danielle had no idea that she had just met a member of what would become one of the biggest bands of the early 2000s. The “Year 3000” performer got Danielle’s number from her older sister — and stopped at nothing to make a connection.

“You know how you’re supposed to meet somebody and call like two or three days later?” Kevin said during an interview with Glamour magazine in August 2012. “Well, I cyberstalked her after we met and cyberstalked to see what flight she was going to be on coming home, and then I called her the minute she landed. That might have been a little overboard, but I just went for it.”

The duo eventually hit it off and tied the knot in Long Island, New York, in December 2009. They share two daughters: Alena Rose, born in February 2014, and Valentina Angelina, born in October 2016.

Kevin and Danielle both grew up in New Jersey, but the duo didn’t cross paths until each of their families happened to be on vacation in the Bahamas at the same time. “I cyberstalked her after we met … to see what flight she was going to be on coming home, and then I called her the minute she landed,” Kevin recalled during an August 2012 interview with Glamour. “That might have been a little overboard, but I just went for it.”

After two years together, Kevin knew he’d found The One. He took an overnight flight to New Jersey after playing a show with his brothers in Vancouver, Canada, and proposed. “Congrats big brother…..Dani welcome to the family, we can’t wait to have you join us on the road!” Joe and Nick tweeted at the time. 

The Grammy nominee and the hairdresser wed in December 2009 during a lavish ceremony in Long Island, New York. Kevin Jonas Sr. officiated the pair’s vows. 

Nearly three years after tying the knot, Kevin and Danielle gave fans an unfiltered look at their lives at home in their reality series, Married to Jonas. The show ran for two seasons on E! between 2012 and 2013. 

“It’s true @daniellejonas is pregnant!” the Disney alum confirmed via Twitter in July 2013. “Can’t even imagine how excited we are I can’t wait to share this with my best friend. I love you, baby.

Baby makes three! In February 2014, the twosome welcomed their first child, daughter Alena Rose. 

Two years after Alena was born, the couple welcomed daughter No. 2, Valentina Angelina. 

As they adjusted to becoming a family of four, Kevin and Danielle joked about trying to keep their full house under control. “Having another baby is literally like having five,” Danielle told Today in December 2016. The Camp Rock star, for his part, felt himself forgetting the basics of caring for a newborn. “At first, I was like, ‘How do I swaddle a baby again? Can I hold her like this?’ It’s like your brain is kind of melting,” he teased. 

Before the Jonas Brothers made their triumphant return to the music world, Kevin and Danielle laid relatively low. In February 2019, the band dropped a lush music video for “Sucker” — with appearances by Danielle, Nick’s wife, Priyanka Chopra Jonas,  and Joe’s then-fiancée, Sophie Turner. 

“Kevin Happy 10 YEAR Anniversary! You’re the most incredible man, amazing husband and father. I have watched you mature in the best of ways,” the Moments jewelry brand founder gushed via Instagram in December 2019. “You are everything I wanted in a man. … I still can’t believe that I can call you mine.” In a lengthy tribute of his own, the “Paranoid” artist thanked his better half for standing by his side. “I [can’t] explain how amazing it is to look back on our journey together and to see how much we have grown together! You help me see my true potential in all things,” he wrote via Instagram. “I love you to the moon and back.”

The New Jersey natives stunned on the 2020 Grammys red carpet alongside Nick, Chopra Jonas, Joe and the Game of Thrones alum. The Jonas Brothers scored a nomination for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for “Sucker ” but lost out to Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus‘ “Old Town Road (Remix).” 

Amid the coronavirus pandemic, the “S.O.S.” performer found a silver lining to nationwide stay-at-home orders. “I feel like this time has been really rewarding, to be able to spend with the family,” Kevin said during a May 2020 interview on SiriusXM Hits 1’s The Morning Mashup. “We’ve actually been getting on very well, so I’m happy with that.”

“Happy birthday sweetie!” Danielle captioned a carousel of throwback photos with her husband as he turned 33. “Every year I try to think of what to write… there’s just too much to say after almost 11 years! I still can’t get enough of you, the girls and I are so blessed to have you in every way. I hope all your wishes come true this year. We love you more than anything!”

The “Remember This” performer shared a photo of his proposal, teasing via Instagram, “12 years ago when digital cameras couldn’t zoom. Happy engagement day baby girl @daniellejonas.”

The couple shared a sweet moment as Kevin prepared to perform in Nashville.

The musician shared some romantic holiday snaps of him and his wife via Instagram. “Love this girl. @daniellejonas Merry Christmas,” he wrote in the caption.

The duo celebrated the release of their picture book, There’s a Rock Concert In My Bedroom. “We can’t wait for you to read it,” Kevin wrote via Instagram. 

The happy couple took their girls on a family vocation to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios. 

The New Jersey native gave his wife a shout-out via Instagram. “I couldn’t live this life without you! I love you so much, happy birthday,” he captioned a photo of them standing side by side.

Kevin recalled fumbling his initial marriage proposal due to nerves. “I couldn’t get the ring out of my pocket in my jacket,” Kevin revealed during a joint interview with his brothers for On Air With Ryan Seacrest. “Literally could not get it out of my jacket. It was really bad.”

“Danielle, my beautiful wife, I love you so much,” Kevin said at the Jonas Brothers’ Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony. “I could not have done this without you [and] your support for the last 15 years.  You’ve seen us through all of it. Beginning, middle and end and then back again. 

Kevin revealed during a Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon appearance that “Vacation Eyes,” a track from the Jonas Brothers’ The Album LP, is inspired by his love story with Danielle.

“I mentioned [to one our producers] that I always wanted to write a song called ‘Vacation Eyes,’” he gushed to Jimmy Fallon of the track, which comes out in May 2023. “I met my beautiful wife in the Bahamas. We were both from New Jersey but met on family vacations. So, it’s been vacation with her every single day since. That’s kinda the idea [of the song].”

The couple jetted off to the Bahamas with their two daughters for a “much needed family vacation,” according to Kevin’s Instagram post.

“I love you @daniellejonas happy birthday,” Kevin captioned an Instagram tribute on Danielle’s 38th birthday. “I am so happy I get to celebrate life with you.” Kevin included a video montage of their lives together, including a clip of the couple dancing at a wedding and playing in a ball pit.
