Reddit has announced some updates to its keyword targeting options, which will help advertisers tap into relevant conversations in the app.
Reddit first launched Contextual Keyword Targeting last year, which enables advertisers to display their promotions based on the context of each conversation, not just the subreddit community.
And now, Reddit making keyword targeting available in more places, while it’s also adding some new AI-powered recommendations to help power up your keyword ads.
On the first point, Reddit’s now making keyword targeting available for feed ads, as well as within conversations, which, up till now, has been the only placement available.
As per Reddit:
“To maximize the impact of your targeting, Multi-placement optimization uses machine learning to maximize efficiency across both feed and conversation placements. This multi-placement strategy ensures your ads appear in the most effective context for driving action, whether that’s in a user’s feed or within a specific conversation.”
So you’ll now have more opportunity to reach Reddit users across the app, by targeting specific conversations, not communities.
Reddit’s also rolling out a new, AI-powered “Dynamic Audience Expansion” option, which will show your ad to a wider range of users based on the specifics of your campaign.
“Our Dynamic Audience Expansion feature works hand-in-hand with Keyword Targeting to extend your reach beyond your initial selections. This AI-driven system finds users who are likely to engage with your ad based on a variety of signals, including ad creative and user behavior.”
Reddit’s also adding AI-powered keyword suggestions to further expand your targeting and reach.
Finally, Reddit’s also updated its campaign management process, in order to simplify the creation of your keyword targeting campaigns.
The updated presentation will make it easier to combine targeting elements, and utilize Reddit’s expanded targeting to reach your target audience.
