Juan Vidal Spain Spring 2025

Date:

“Flowers do not only represent love, but also the fleeting nature of time and how ephemeral beauty and life are.” That was the premise at the core of Juan Vidal’s spring 2025 collection, which the designer described as “equal parts of sophistication and exoticism and whose energy oscillates between the classic and the contemporary.”

Inspiration came from two different sources: first, from Baudelaire’s Les Fleurs du Mal, which Vidal also used as the title to his collection, and second, from a series of floral prints and fabrics that the designer discovered during one of his trips to France. “When we saw these original drawings of flowers from the 1960s, we decided to use them to create all our prints,” Vidal explained. “We decided to magnify this floral garden through dresses, all of them touched with fluidity, exoticism, maximalism, and romanticism.” The tightly edited lineup of 11 dresses included bias cut wrap styles, wide-flowing sacks that liberated the figure, and chic asymmetrical ruffled numbers with a touch of drama.
