Wicked: Part 2 has a new name: Wicked: For Good, and a new tagline: “You will be changed.”

For Good is a duet between Elphaba (the Wicked Witch of the West) and Glinda (the Good Witch of the North) as a farewell performed near the end of the original stage show. The song’s score and lyrics were written by composer Stephen Schwartz.

Wicked: For Good launches on November 21, 2025, a year after the record-breaking release of the first film.

Ariana Grande (Glinda) and Cynthia Erivo (Elphaba) will of course return for Wicked: For Good, which is directed by Jon M. Chu as the finale of Universal’s two-part feature adaptation of the Tony-winning Broadway show. Wicked has enjoyed phenomenal success, with over $525 million at the global box office, suggesting demand will be high this time next year.

IGN’s Wicked review returned a 9/10. We said: “A dazzling adaptation of one of Broadway’s most beloved musicals brings Stephen Schwartz’s Wicked Witch of the West origin story to brilliant life on screen with clear care for its source material.”
