UPDATE: December 21, 2024, at 2pm EST—As predicted, Taylor Swift is cheering on Travis Kelce at Arrowhead Stadium. But will she attend the Chiefs’ next two games? Scroll down to see how her schedule lines up with the rest of the regular season.
ORIGINAL STORY—Hey Taylor Swift fans, don’t forget today is game day!
On December 21, the Kansas City Chiefs take on the Houston Texans at Arrowhead Stadium—which means it’s officially time for Taylor Watch. Though Swift has not attended any of Travis Kelce’s away games this NFL season, she has been spotted at nearly every single home game, with the exception of their face-off against the Los Angeles Chargers on December 8. To be fair, she was a bit busy performing her final Eras Tour concert ever.
Taylor Swift seems to be spending her free time in Kansas City since the end of her record-breaking world tour. Earlier this month, a source told Us Weekly that the pop star is “exhausted” and “excited for some relaxation and downtime.”
“Taylor plans to stay in and hibernate [with Travis] for a while,” the source said. “They want to do ‘normal things’ as a couple. Taylor and Travis are eager to spend quality time together because [that’s when] the little nuances about someone’s personality and habits come into play. They will learn so much about each other.”
One of those “normal things” includes an Eras Tour-themed surprise birthday party, which the football player reportedly threw for his girlfriend. Among the attendees were Brittany and Patrick Mahomes, the Haim sisters, and Swift’s longtime friend, Ashley Avignone, who eventually shared a series of photos from the party on Instagram.
“When she thought she was going to a small, quiet dinner but it was actually a giant surprise party with her friends and family, props included 🥳,” she captioned the pics on December 20. Listen, normal is relative.
So yeah, it seems likely Taylor Swift will attend today’s game, which is scheduled to commence at 1pm EST on NBC, though you can also stream the game on Peacock or Hulu (as long as you have the Live TV subscription). But what about the rest of the Chiefs’ regular season?
December 25: Chiefs vs. Steelers (Away)
If there was ever a time for Swift to change her away game pattern, it would be Christmas. According to Us Weekly, Taylor and Travis plan to spend the holiday with both of their families, just like they reportedly did on Thanksgiving.
Considering the Chiefs will be playing the Steelers in Pittsburgh on December 25, our bet is that Philly icons Jason and Kylie Kelce will also make an appearance. Plus, Swift may appreciate an excuse to break out that “87” Santa she wore to last year’s Christmas game against the Raiders.
January 5: Chiefs vs. Broncos (Away)
If Swift attends the away game on Christmas, all bets are off. As far as we know, her schedule is clear and this will be her last chance to cheer on Kelce before the playoffs.
