The Stars Came Out in Droves for Beyoncé’s ‘Renaissance’ Film Premiere

Date:

On December 1, Beyoncé will finally debut her new Renaissance concert film, bringing her epic 2023 tour to a big screen near you. If you missed out on seeing the show live in person this year, fans can head to a movie theatre to take in the superstar’s show—which is heavy on the silver sequins, theatrical (and fresh-off-the-runway) fashions, and dance-worthy hits. Last night in Beverly Hills, the Samuel Goldwyn Theater hosted the official world premiere for the highly-anticipated film, and stars came out in droves for the affair—all dressed to impress, of course.

Hitting the red carpet, A-listers chose to channel the glitzy, all-silver-everything vibe of the Renaissance tour. (It was the official dress code for fans, after all.) Beyoncé, the star of the evening, sported a strapless silver Versace column gown with matching metallic opera gloves. The star’s Destiny’s Child co-members also showed up ready to turn heads: Kelly Rowland chose a silver gown from Jean Paul Gaultier’s fall 2023 couture collection, guest-designed by Julien Dossena, complete with a conical bra, while Michelle Williams donned a Bishme Cromartie creation, including a voluminous cape and tulle train. More was clearly more.

Other highlights from the evening? Singer Janelle Monáe chose a head-to-toe polka dot number from Annakiki; Lori Harvey chose a vintage black Mugler mini dress, sourced from Tab Vintage; and Chloe Bailey also slipped into a slinky, plunging purple LaQuan Smith gown, adding a dash of color to the otherwise metallics-heavy evening. Below, see even more of the best celebrity looks from Beyoncé’s Renaissance premiere. The question is: Will you dress up for opening night?
