Jezabelle Cormio’s namesake label has quickly become one of Milan’s must-see shows during fashion week. Her point of view is sexy and funny but also grounded in real life — or at least her real life, where along with being a successful designer, she is also mother to a toddler. Her unique vision for the runway is similarly reflected in her witty winter vacation diary that found her, her boyfriend, and their daughter traipsing through Istanbul, and the island of Koh Oha Ngan and Bangkok in Thailand. Read the dispatch from her family vacation below:
“We first flew to Istanbul and visited for three days. My boyfriend Greg loves the city and was very excited to show me around. Then we spent nine days on a small island called Koh Pha Ngan. It’s very luscious, with gorgeous beaches, great food, and quite a large community of Westerners that come to practice yoga and tantric healing retreats whilst working remotely. Some of the most interesting things to observe were the short and long-stay foreigners. After that, we spent the last three days in Bangkok. It was then that I realized just how old our Europe is. This Thai capital was exciting; both traditional and fresh, fast and slow, wealthy and rural. I began to think of how I could find more opportunities to travel to Asia for work. It was a good reminder that the world is much larger than the seven minute walk between my flat and my office in Milan.”
